Does anyone have a suggestion for a good tire pressure monitor system? I'm researching now. Thanks Jim

This Dill product looks good. http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/detail.jsp?ID=...

Provides real-time monitoring of four tires, including air pressure and temperature, and can be installed on most any 4-wheel application. Warnings alert the driver to low- or high-pressure conditions, air leaks and temperatures changes.

We bought a similar system a while back but found the valve would not fit to the Ultima rim due to the shape and position of the valve/rim profile inside.

The type I have fits in the well of the rim using a giant worm drive clip and does not involve the valve. The company stopped making them some years back and I've not seen anything similar since.

Had this on my A8, It definately works, had a slow puncture and it did what it was supposed to.
The readings on the unit corresponded to independant measurement carried out by me with some "standard assured instruments" (I use these in my line of work).
Not sure it has the resolution for a blow out but then you'd know about that anyway.
Never tracked the A8 wink so no idea about resolution on temperature readings in that environment.
An example here. though I'm pretty sure you can get this a lot cheaper though elsewhere.

On the Ultima you may not. The side walls are quite stiff so you may not feel it.
I had a flat on the front of mine. Had been at 80ish for an hour or so on the motorway and became aware of a rubber burning smell. After a while decided it must be me so slowed to investigate. As I came down through 50 I could feel something in the steering.
When I checked I found I could put my hand through the inner side wall for more than half the diameter of the tyre.
