4-wheel-drive Ultima?

Saw a small snipet in Which Kit Car? which was talking about a project 'Z-Cars' are doing.
A 4-wheel-drive Ultima using two 400hp Hayabusa engines for a Spanish customer.
Anyone seen or heard about this.
Steve
Thats the only way it could be done as there is no room for a prop and a centre diff.
Is it a full article or did you just read the 'snipet'? I will get a copy.
Don't know if you know, but GTRCLIVE is building a 400hp Hayabusa conversion Mini at the moment. It will be all spaceframe using T45, with just the bare shell to distinguish it as a Mini. I am sure Clive will post the details up. Last time I looked in his garage he had 3 Hayabusa engines on the floor. I did try to get him to put two in, Z Cars stylee, but he is quite happy with 400hp in a 550kg car
Holeshot Racing can build you a 600hp Hayabusa engine - not bad for a 1550cc bike engine
Reasonable @£7k too
Wonder what the factory will make of that !

July issue. In the 'showtime' report on Stoneleigh they are reporting 'Z-Cars being there and what they are working on. Mainly the Hayabusa mini and a conversion to put a Suzuki GSXR 1000 engine in a Smart. The bit about the Ultima is tagged on the end.

I spoke to Chris (Zcars Main Man) at the National Kit Car Show, and he said that his customer had bought a road going GTR second hand, and that it was now at Chris's workshop waiting to be started. Didn't know weather he wanted it kept on the QT, so have not said anything up to know.
Due to the wieght of 2 engines (85kgs each) and 2 turbo conversions (15kgs ish), then the props and diff's. I don't think it will be lighter it maybe heavier, it will have a slightly better wieght split but that's all. The front engine will be the slave and not be doing as much work, so I don't think the rear engine stands much of a chance of lasting very long.
But what the hell, good while it lasts 1000 BHP/TON easy....But only about 450Lbs torque.

Sill question but where exactly do you find the room to put even a motorbike engine in the front of an Ultima? There's barely enough room to put a battery, radiator and a steering rack...
Both engines in the rear, one with a prop pointing forward, and one pointing rearward. So yes silly question.....Mind you these room up front for one of those Scate Board engines......
