Hi

Does anyone know the approx weight of a dry sumped ls7 including alt, starter, clutch and flywheel, but no fluids?

Sorry but you are a day too late.

The engine went in for what is hopefully the last time today with all bolts torqued up/locktighted.
Not sure how I would have weighed it anyway!

You may be able to get an answer form Laura at Parts World Performance as they import them.

Around 400lbs I believe.

Mine was 170 kg with generator but without starter, flywheel, ac and clutch.
Used two bathroom scales.

Mine in a wooden crate was 215kg including harness, headers, starter and torque converter, but no alternator.

So I would think @ 195 kg

Thanks everyone, so long as it is lighter than 250kg it will make life a lot easier

This post is a bit of a tease Martin...laugh - so what's going in the car that weighs 250kg?

RS 6 twin turbo perhaps??? Most interested.
