I'm not sure which way around the ownership is, but I believe B&G are part of the Momo organisation. I'll be buying one of these to fit post IVA (you need the crush boss for IVA and I believe QR kits are not compliant).

on my current car I have the crush box and the quick release the factory had provided. It is very short so no problem with the
steering wheel being to close.

I've seen a few cars with both fitted, but I don't have my seats yet, so don't know how I'll be for distance. My point was more that from what I've read, QR adapters are generally not IVA compliant, so it's a part for fitment after the numberplates are fitted wink

I know that lots of the cars including mine have quick releases for the steering wheels. But give it a thought, why do you really need or want one? I'm just short of 6'2'and I weigh 200lbs I never take the wheel off to get in or out of te GTR. The only time the wheel comes off is if I am working under the dash. In that case I could have unbolted the wheel for the same effect. In the mean time, in order to fit the the steering wheel and not have my elbows in my chest I had to forego the crush box part of the column. The second bad part is there is a very small amount of radail play in the wheel from the quick change. I think that's going to be true of most styles of releases. The release I have is made by NRG and it adds 1.75 inchs to the lenght of the column. Lee

I think with the addition of stalks AND a crush-zone AND a quick-release, the bl00dy steering wheel with be up against my beer-belly! cool

I can see why can am boys might find it an extra deterrent for thieves, by removing the wheel when its parked up. Had this on my Atom but in the end got fed up carrying a steering wheel around, as I then became paranoid if I left it on the car, some toe rag would whip it off wink

Personally I wouldn't bother in a GTR or Can Am, but hey everyone to their own smile

Hi,

Not a GTR (I wish!) but I have one of these on my Marcos and bought it thinking more of a Theft deterent when away from home and leaving car behind, car at one address and steering wheel at another.

One querry I have is that the indicator stalk is now much farther away from the wheel if anybody has any ideas as to how to solve this,

Martyn.

martyn I have a quick release and stalks and the spacing is about right. The release is about 1.75 inchs deep and I have a ford escort stalk in front of that andit all works well. Lee
