Oil change intervals

Just wondering what interval people are changing their oil at?

When I was running my modifed ZXTT, I was changing the oil every 1000 miles, I know the chevy is a primitive beast, but even so it is a well tuned engine.

As I have a dry sump setup I carry more oil than most (2.5 uk gallons) it costs me about £40 for an oil change, as opposed to about £15.

So when do you change yours?

AS recommend changing my oil about 1200 miles, but it depends on the state of tune of your engine.

Don't forget Stig can get you some oil at a good price! That's where I got mine from.

Cheers Gaz, but I use '76 Nascar' oil as recommended by Peter Knight my engine builder. He does me a whole case for £40
