Decided to put my car up for sale and wondered apart from here on PH which I've now done where else is there to sell an Ultima. Can't see there's much point in putting it on Autotrader or am I Wrong.

Cheers

I don't tend to keep any of my cars very long it's sort of a very bad and expensive habit I've got into, I think the last 3 or 4 cars I've had have left me in double quick time. See my profile for the money pit I've created and that's just weekend cars I've got my daily hacks as well.
The Ultima is fantastic and without doubt the quickest thing I've ever owned, I took it down to the Cotswold's this morning and I was actually laughing to myself about how quick you can overtake in these cars and the look on the people's face as you go screaming by as if a space ship has just gone past.
What's pushed me to sell is I've just sold my house which took precisely 7 days and caught me sought of off guard as I'd thought it could take months. We've now had an offer accepted on a house that needs a lot of work doing and to be honest the money in the Ultima would come in very handy. I don't have to sell it, it would just make things a little easier.
Great cars tho.

a lovely car for someone, it made a lot of power on the dyno but is very smooth with a nice exhaust note....

i think a cammed up LS2 is the perfect motor for a stock Ultima, you can use the power and the torque all seems to be in the right place, fantastic. It can also be very cost effective over a LS7!!

its the way i would go every time, hindseight is a great thing.

Good luck with the sale Steve

Im waiting on a call back from a guy i know is looking for one.

Stunning looking car Steven.

Who would have thought that grey and orange could work so well together.

The red dashboard is a bit of an acquired taste IMO.

I don't understand the builder who sells his labour of love as I would want to keep mine for as long as I could (probably until I can't get in it).

Regarding selling.

Try
Ebay, but be careful.
Carandclassic

But I suspect that with the current financial climate it could take a while to sell for what it is worth.

Cheers Kyle, like you say it does seem a very well balanced motor and with more than enough power for a car so light.
It's very drivable no snatching or jerking at low speed that I have experienced in cars with this much power previously
Thanks again.

Thought I was bad changing on a yearly basis (Ultima not included) I did get rid of my dancing donkey after 8 months but that was an (expensive) exception.

Thanks Paul,

Thing is what is it worth?, what I paid for it is irrelevant more so than any other car I've ever bought.
I might be wrong but it's the cheapest Ls engined car I've seen.

With regard the interior the photos don't do it justice it looks pretty good. I did consider dying the leather black but decided I quite liked it after a while. The general finish of the car is very good tho, I looked at a good few other cars before I bought and this was by far the best.

Cheers
Steve

If wasn't already building one then I would buy this car. Looks stunning in the flesh with the dark metallic grey really setting the car off.

Would have thought potential buyers would snap your hand off at that price Steve !!

That indeed is a great looking colour. After much hesitation, pondering, backwards and forwards, I think this will be the colour for me, or else a Porsche GT3 type dark grey

A little off topic Steve, but could you share the details of your running lights (where you bought then etc) fitted in the front clip ducts - I've been looking for some and can't decide exactly what to go for, but your look great.

Sorry Paul can't help with that didn't fit them myself. I'll take some photo's if that would help.

Many thanks
