Indicators & IVA stamp kit

I need to stamp a new chassis number on the car for IVA - have a 12 digit SVA compatible one, needs to be 17.

Richard recommended a 3mm stamp, I've access to a 5mm one and can't see anything in the IVA manual referring to sizes for the chassis number. Anyone know?

Also need to sort side indicators - have gone for non std lights front and rear, not sorted indicators yet, does anyone have any suggestions for the side indicators that will fit the precursor hole ok?

Extract from the IVA manual.

1. The VIN number must consist of 17 digits (except for mass-produced vehicles see note 6)

2. The information must be shown in a single line. (in the case of a mass produced vehicle the use of two lines is permissible)

3. Capital letters and numerals must be used for the manufacturer’s name and VIN

4. There must not be any gaps large enough to insert extra characters between the characters for the VIN shown on the manufacturer’s plate or stamped into the vehicle.

5. Other than in the case of a Mass Produced vehicle the characters on the manufacturer’s plate must be at least 3.5mm high.

6. The characters used for the VIN stamped into the chassis, frame or other similar structure must be at least 3.5mm high.

7. Use of the letter I, the letter O, the letter Q, dashes, asterisks and other special signs are not permitted (see note 9)

8. In instances where the VIN has been changed evidence of agreement with the Approval Authority must be provided.

I'm confused... doesn't "ULTIMASPORTSxxxxxxx" contain both an "I" and "O"?!? Maybe I need to look up Note 9!

its always been ULT1MA for chassis numbers as far as I am aware followed by the number

I've just checked my e-mail from the factory and it states "ULTIMASPORTxxxxxx".... I'll pop out to the garage and check the chassis plate I've not yet attached to see if the I is a 1 and the O a 0!!

ETA... Just checked my chassis plate and the I is an I, not a 1, but I can't tell if the O is that or a 0... probably worth a quick call to the factory.

Can't answer how the Factory get by using those letters.

I've also never understood why the Factory don't have their own VIN reference.
We have our own VIN register for the kit we manufacture. It just costs a small annual fee.
