997 Turbo gear box fitted
Discussion
just a quick update, I fitted the turbo gear box in less than 3 hours today mainly for the reason because all the parts
that I bought from Autobionics were a perfect fit. The rear support just a dream - bolt on no hammering no cursing !
And it will not stick out of the grill (unmodified box) as some others have mentioned. I also have bought the CMS shifter and cables and again
all perfect fit and no comparison to the gear linkage of the G50 which resulted in a complete redesign in my first built.
So there is a great alternative to the 997 and 996 box and it is the 996/997 TURBO box with perfect gearing and a long 6th gear for cruising
or <200mph if you are mad enough !

I will leave it there but putting a fan on it came to my mind , you could such the air out and increase flow through the car !!
or if I ever get very mad I will put the procharger there !!! Higher gear means more power !
Naah! He's just joshing you all - He has been watching too many James Bond Movies! Watch out for the fastest revolving rear numberplates in the world!or if I ever get very mad I will put the procharger there !!! Higher gear means more power !

the filter is the main filter since this engine has a modified billet oil pan with an external pump and the red filter is an inline oil filter on the pressurized side of the dry sump system. Also serving as a drain plug for oil changes.
Have the same setup on my first car, works well.

"The BT46B generated an immense level of downforce by means of a fan, claimed to be for increased cooling, but which also extracted air from beneath the car"or if I ever get very mad I will put the procharger there !!! Higher gear means more power !

Parts and kits are available to convert the pull type clutch to a pusher with an internal slave cylinder/release bearing combo unit (as per many modern cars) .. Intially not cheap but free's up space and makes clutch/trans fitting v easy.
Unsure on your particular model of trans Ewe but might be worth a look .

A more appropriate example would be the CanAm series Chaparral 2J
