easy part of the build

at a bit of a loose end at the moment.

The garage is empty and I shan't see my car again until next week so while waiting, I thought I would post the easiest, the hardest and the most rewarding part of my build.


Easiest... Fitting those super AP brakes.

Hardest.... Fitting the windscreen, without a doubt.

Most rewarding....fitting the engine and firing it up for the first time, obviously

thanks for the windscreen bit just to cheer us up , im just fitting my cockpit panels, so bloody fiddly, time consuming. in/out/ file a bit, back in, not quite enough, back out. but saying all that, it is quite rewarding when you start to rivet the panels in finally.

It may be time consuming but is well worth the effort. Everybody else who has built their own will know what a pain it was. They now look at every other car to see how well it has been done. Wait until you catch yourself being critical of others.

I had a windscreen fitter in to do mine because I knew I would not be able to reach over on my own. The screen must be lowered into place evenly all round or the adhesive gets pushed out to one side or the other.
I worked as hard as he did and between use it went in without problems. We didn't mask anything just smoothed and cleaned away the excess.
The advantages also included him supplying the adhesives, cleaners, primers and most importantly the vacuum suction handles to lift it into place.
