Happy New Year all!

I don't suppose someone could tell me the diameter of the rubber bobbins on which the radiator is mounted? I am just about to fit the radiator double skin panel and need to drill the two holes to allow for these to pass through - but don't yet have these parts.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Those are one thing that could be made 1000% better for 3 quid .. mine have distorted to the point of abrading the double skin with only the weight of the empty rad ..
Stock rubbers, a 15mm hole will be fine but an upgrade to 20mm diameter bobbin and 24mm hole would be my advice and maybe a slightly higher shore rating... just to keep undue stress off the rad neck and pipe mounts . A thin smear of body seal between the d-skin edge and rubber to help seal the section maybe.

When I stripped my chassis for the rebuild I found quite a bit of corrosion between the two skins.
To help prevent this I no longer secure the bottom of the radiator with bobbins and use adhesive mastic to hold the bottom in place so there are now no holes in double skin.

BTW I should mention I have an aluminum radiator which is a lot lighter than the standard rad.

Did you notice any cooling performance difference between the alloy and the standard rad?
