GOT YA!

You thought this might be some juicy bit of tattle about a rogue male/female person doing naughty things & calling plod - didn't you! Be honest! biggrin

But the heading is exactly what's on the tin!

Well - it's about the other type of flasher! The one that goes - tink-tonk-tink-tonk! - you know the one!

Some of us have opted for rear leds, but with the front flashers 'el traditionale', which poses a small problemette!

The standard flasher will go like it's been chased for a 'chat' by 'Eddie the Eagle' on steroids!

sooo... do we put an in-line resistor in each rear led loom, as is often prescribed, or do we go buy one of these new-fangled Electronic flashers (Hybrid type) that purport to calm things down to a normal flash-rate even if using a mix of leds and bulbs?

I know the Factory can supply them, but I did wonder if I could get them locally...

Does anyone know the spec and what to look for?

Erm, strange. No such problems with my car. Have you got the side repeaters installed too? Mine did flash too quickly until I installed all 6 indicators. The dash indicator lights don't seem to impact this, one way or the other.

The only other thing to possibly note I guess, is that I have the AB stalks fitted, so that actually replaces the factory relay unit with a Ford one built into the stalks themsevles.

Help? No help?

Good point Mark... I am perhaps ahead of the game...

I also have AB stalks, but my wiring is pre 2006!
Front and side are regular bulbs, the rear was an upgrade to LED...and I have not tried yet..just was expecting a problem that might not be there!

We will see...

yep, you need ALL LEDs or all bulbs, if you mix even one bulb in any application...... you get your fast flashing! (you can have bulbs for other applications eg brakes, just cant mix on one application.

Soz, no you don't. I have a mix on my indicator circuit (LEDs @ rear, std bulbs @ side repeaters, std bulds @ front, LED's @ dash)... all works fine smile The fast flashing only occurs on my car when any circuit has a missing bulb / connection.

I put the latest LED rear lamps on my car last year with standard front and nothing changed as far as flasher speed goes.

Note: If you are using regular bulb indicators on the front of your car, and a regular indicator relay, then a RESISTOR PACK #RESPAK is required for each LED indicator on the rear.
