What low pressure pump for the fuel swirl tanks?
Discussion
Just nipping in from the TVR section, what low pressure pump's do you guys use to fill the swirl pot from the tank?
I know I could use a 044 but I'm sure that would create problems making to much of a positive pressure in the swirl pot.
I see a few guys in the states using solid state 35gph carb pumps, are they enough?
Thanks

044 would be all wrong as it is designed for high pressure.I know I could use a 044 but I'm sure that would create problems making to much of a positive pressure in the swirl pot.

A carb pump would be fine just choose one with enough flow for your engine. If it is internally pressure regulated to around 6psi so much the better. Make your return pipe to the tank with a very small hole (0.5mm) restrictor so it can clear any air back to the tank but not flow significant amounts of fuel. The 6psi will then put a positive pressure on the inlet to the HP pump reducing the risk of cavitation.
If you need more contact me....I play TVR as a day job.
