With the demise of Pacet (Owner now deceased) and its purchase by Kenlowe, I am having a mare of a time trying to find an alternative to the std Tripacs(?).

Most here seemed to go for the Pacet KPF1111 which fitted just..

It is very hard to find any ratings for the original factory version but I seem to remember something like 575 cfm stated somewhere per fan.
The Pacet 11" apparently (cos kenlowe couldn't understand such high figure claims especially at 9.5 amps) moved 1202 cfm or thereabouts per fan so way over double the performance.

Kenlowe say the Pacet motors are not available from the manufacturer any more, so all they have is a set of parts ex motors...

So... been looking into equivalents:

Kenlowe:

10" at 981 cfm at 10 amps
12" at about 1250 cfm or thereabouts (2100m3/hr) but at a whopping 15 amps
I have the ally rad which is 40mm thinner than the copper one?

SPAL fans are not as powerful it seems.

sounds like your ali rad is a bit underrated, The thermal conductivity or heat transfer rate of copper is 92% versus aluminium which is approximately 49% though construction methods employed in copper rads tend to reduce the figure to say 10% better than ali, given your core is thinner than the copper offering perhaps the problem lies there?

Possibly... I have both rads, but I will see how the ali one gets on with the uprated fans...

I replaced my original rad with a RadTech one and it has been great, still using the same Ultima supplied fans too. I think the rad is about the same thickness and was more or less a direct replacement.

Spal seems to have something similar but they are slightly higher in size
