I have standard factory exhaust system, was nice and central when build complete but now the one on the left is a bit low and it's annoying me. I can get it centralised but after a run it goes back down a little.

The brackets are done up pretty tight, I'd not want to put too much more on them.

As yet I've been tightening when cold as its safer!

Any tips here?

Thanks, Mark

They move about all the time it is something you have to live with. Also be aware if you set them too far out of the grill they will foul the grill when you open it after a run. The pipes grow 10mm or more when hot.

Length....they stick further out of the grill which means they catch on the hole as you try to open the clip.

Diameter too of course, but you probably can't see it with the naked eye........... ;-)

Standard Factory system + Camcoat.

Next time you go out measure how far the pipe is sticking through the grill before startup then measure again when hot.

I'm with Steve on this one, My pipes definitely expanded further through the grille,.
One reason that I removed it was because it caught and kinked slightly, still haven't replaced it.

It is normal for exhausts to "grow". The front engine Audi exhausts grow up to 40mm. I spent some time in their development. Quite a challenge to compensate that. Mid/rear engine are much easier to handle, since they "only" grow to a lesser extent.
