With Insurance companies becoming very particular about theft, more and more are they insisting on a tracker - without it I was told they would not insure for theft at all!

Having looked at the tracker market I decided on SkyTag 5 months ago, being one you can fit yourself and reasonably cheap.
Works well - but not thatcham approved, however many insurance companies (Classicline included)seem not to care which type as long as you have one! (a few do though so worth checking).

I get an email every 30 days telling me all is good with the tracker, and if the battery is disconnected for any length of time, then another email comes flying in - but you can ignore if your battery is off for maintenance.

I have ordered the zone control and live-view so I can set up an area where if the car moves outside that area then the system will send you an email and SMS on your phone! Good for Hols when the car is at home, or if you leave it in a car-park or at a garage for work to be done!

So, simple - does the job, and reasonable.

I have no connection with the company apart from being a happy customer, and get nothing for this review either - but if you use my name (Keith Ultima) and speak to Marcus (http://www.skytag-gps.co.uk/contactus) - you might be in for a discount on the advertised price.

Hope moderators are ok with this, but a worthwhile purchase.

F.C.

I fitted a tracker two or so years ago, it works v well but sadly not required by insurance company anymore!
£50K agreed value.
They are more interested in immobilisers it would seem.
Perhaps they have seen the stats on stolen Ultimas hehe
