When fitting the carpet remember that you slide in using your feet to control the speed of that slide. You also walk your way out so make sure the carpet is well attached. Preferably removable too though.

To the question, get some rice paper, can use it to stop carpet sticking when you're not ready.

If you are tall as I am and to make matters worse I am long of torso, I would suggest you consider mounting the seats directly to the floor. No adjustment rails and no carpet under the mounting points. Nobody will ever drive my car but me and my wife and we use a pillow for her behind her back. Lee

And just what are you trying to imply..............

My sylph like stature enables me to glide in as though I am weightless. I barely add a couple of kilos to the weight of the car......

And as for age............I am still 21................. in my mind!

You are only as old as the woman you feel..............bugger!

Rice paper? ahh! If you leave no marks then you are ready to leave (in your car)
Only people of a certain age will get that.

May be a bit late, but I went my own way on this and fitted the top skin in genuine carbon fiber. Looked great, very hard wearing and made sliding in and out effortless.
