This has probably been done to death, but a quick search here didn't find anything, and these following questions may well be a bit dumb..

I'm finally getting around to fitting the pedals, and not sure which holes to go for wink I've read a couple of build sites, and got different answers.

I'm not long legged, so I'm guessing putting the pedals all in the furthest slot will allow for the seat to be fitted further forward, giving a small storage option behind, but is this the best placement. Will putting the accy pedal in a different position ease the cable run ?

Secondly, I've fitted the bias bar inside the brake pedal, but this is a very tight fit, is it supposed to be ?

All help gratefully accepted !

Your build manual CD should include a folder 'Graphics' in which is a drawing showing the pedal assembly. (brake and throttle in the hole nearest the driver. Clutch middle hole)

Cheers Steve, found it in the photos folder - the factory have them mounted in different holes, Clutch centre, brake to the rear and accelerator to the front, will go with this to start with.

You should keep in mind that in many cases, as you sit further forward, your head is also closer to the front/overhead roll bar. Seems to me that you should sit as far back as possible in these things to avoid accidental and high speed contact with such hard structural pieces.

Bearing in mind all of the above comments, I would raise the front of the seat by about 25 to 38mm (preferably with a triangular fillet) so you could slide the seat forward, but still have your butt low down along with your head. It would also maximise the distance between your shoulders and the steering wheel, which would otherwise end up a bit close, especially if you fit the Ford column stalks that require a small extension to the column.
