Almost ready for the body!!

Well, I just have to finish off clipping the wiring at the back, chassis alignment, suspension units and bolting the calipers on and I'll be ready for the body. Spoke to the factory yesterday and Andy said should be in about 3-4 weeks......... nice Christmas present
I'm looking for some 'stylish' stainless steel switches, don't want to go the Honda start button route etc (although might if I can't find the right style) Does anyone know of a site or a manufacturer of switches? I quite like the stlye of the ones in the new Mondeo, but I have no use for a heated front or rear screen , the hazard switch is neat though.
Any info appreciated.

Thanks for the labels, I sat up till 2.30am this morning getting the loom ready to fit tonight

BTW Did you take loads of pics of the loom install?

As for switches there are some nice ally/polished circular items in the Europa caatlogue.........

Sorry no I didn't take many, studied the CD and the 'build sites' to how it was positioned and most of it fell into place, branched off where it should at the front for the radiator and at the 'imaginary' fuse/relay box and once cable tied to the battery cable branched off at the back where it should. It's a bit dissconcerting that all the hoses/wiring to the back just hangs there until final fit! Only then do you know if its in the right place or long enough !! Well as I see it anyway. But I guess everyone else was or is in the same position and it allseems to work out... (I hope)
You're almost where I am and you've only had your chassis two weeks!!!!!! Have you got a date for the body????

No date for teh body as yet, waiting for the factory to come back to me with a diffinitive list of final parts to order to complete the car.

I hope (plan) to get it all around mid/end of Jan so my end of May date for completion is still feasible.

Better start studying all the "build sites", my camera's working again so I've started to take loads of pics.

Not as bad as that......I've got dials instead of a Stack dash., but all wiring to me is a nightmare!!!!
Although as I said, most of it just fell into place when positioned on the chassis...which was nice....

Since we also build aircraft from scratch, wiring is no problem to us.
Actually, if I were to do it over again, I'd probably go with individual instruments (not Ultima),as being a long time pilot I'm used to seeing the whole picture at a glance. The Stack is nice for its compactness, but sometimes having to scroll through to get readings is not convenient. However being able to set an alarm warning for limits is nice, such as high temps, and low pressures.
Unlike what that particular photos says, we wound up not using any of the Ultima wiring for the Stack, but used the Stack harness, mainly because if I remember correctly, in the long run it was easier because of position, and proper grounding.

How about the brushed alloy 'Savage' range? They do all sorts of legends (including 'start') which light up in blue. At around £14 a pop they are not cheap but they look very modern.

CPC is were I got my stainless steel switches.

Farnell & RS also a likely source.
