black trim around your headlights

when painting the black trim around your headlights what width black lines are people using. I was thinking a 1/2 inch but wanted to see what other have done that looks good.

Mines 15mm.
I don't think you can go much less than that without the lip of the headlight moulding becoming visible.

1/2" is what I used, but you will have to go sparingly on the adhesive. Any "ooze" will not be covered...

The 3/4" flexible masking tape was used as a guide for the 1/2" line tape.
Check out all the photos.
The biggest problem you'll have is the choice of paint and prep of the plexiglass.
If the paint pulls off the plexiglass, the lense will come loose.

Mine are 20mm, which look fine.
You should be using the black primer used for the windscreen bonding. This etches into the Perspex. Others have used various paints some of which have subsequently come adrift.

Anyone have any problems with the lenses misting up? I've heard that there needs to be an air gap to allow condensation to evaporate...

Most everyone I think.
I fitted small fans from computer processors to mine but they misted the other day so that may not be the answer.
The only gap you can leave would be vent holes in the back. Do not leave gaps around the glass.
