Anyone know who made this car and the year? I met the owner that restored it.

Umm... It looks or at least probably once looked like a Mclaren replica, Though the nose should be more rounded.
One manufacturer was a company called UVA. They were based in Newbury in Berks 15 years ago or so, before moving a few miles down the road and then fading into obscurity. Their 'Mclaren' was VW Beetle Based!
There were other Mclaren look-a-like makers too, but that really is testing me!

I looks like a Maclern replica if so then Tornado still make them if you want any parts, just look at the adverts for a Tornado GT40 replica.

Two brothers Brad and Tim Lovette in California designed the Manta Mirage during the early 70's. They were into road racing and building fiberglass bodies for Cam-Am racing cars at the time and decided there was a market for a street legal version of a Cam-Am racer. So the Manta Mirage was born. I think three to five cars were sold.
