Having the geometry checked on the ultima tomorrow just been doing ride height checks with tape measure now car has been sat for a week front measures 110 mm rear measures 150 any one think the rear will cause a issue set 10 mm lower than factory setting just seems to look sat nice to body work at these heights .
Cheers Steve for spinning the picture round I ain't worked out how to do that on the I pad yet seems to do it every time . The redg plate on the trailor seems to work with the local traffic camera vans (only kidding ) I need a plate to match my van was a last minute thing bit off card n insulation tape . :-) Now geomotery checked gonna check bump steer after studying process
id have checked bump steer first.. if you move rack up or down it will alter tracking?
id increase rear ride height to 160.. you are leveling out the bottom of the car, and thats why Webber flipped his le mans car.
with all that power your front will raise in acceration and squat at the back and front steering will feel too light.

Cheers Dom I got up at 5 this morning and raised height off car As you rightly say iff cars too soft at back it will squat . were doing bump steer check at weekend then when I've taxed car were going back to check geo and adjust iff needs be the lads at North Eastern tyres in York are a good bunch
I had an issue where the rear settled about 15mm lower than recommended height.
The tyres caught the back edge of the side pod over bumps. A horrid noise that took a while to work out. If I had left it it would have eventually cut all the way through and then ripped the tyre.
Easy enough to raise the ride height though, and issue seems to have gone away.

Sorry to be a pain but the Le Mans ACO rules of that time tried to limit down-force (Probably Because of the insanely fast group C cars that came before) one of the rules was to shortening the under car diffusers, this meant the center of pressure for the diffuser went more rearwards and possibly even behind the rear wheels, thus crating cars (Remember the Porsche GT1 also did the same thing in America) that where very sensitive to flipping on the crest of a hill when following another car (i.e. losing front down-force and therefore Balance)I'm not sure dropping the rear of the car to 140mm is really going to induce this effect bud, but the more you do drop it the quicker the rears will gain Camber on bump and at 345 section you don't need much.
