OK, I admit that the weight of public opinion in favor of the LS7 over the SBC has swayed me. Which only leaves finding a suitable source.
AmerSpeed's Ultima configuration seems proven, but very pricey. Schwartz Performance looks more reasonable, but how does their setup compare to AmerSpeed's? If it leaves me having to independently source various components, then selecting them would be false economy.
Schwartz has both 675 HP and 730 HP versions of the LS7 on offer (without going down the turbo rabbit hole). Thoughts?

Any thoughts on Mast Motorsports? They've got a 675HP LS7 that looks good for the GTR. I particularly appreciate the details they provide on the origins of every component of their engine builds. Also, that they dyno each engine produced - a service for which Schwartz is charging an additional $1900 above his already $1K greater base price.
