Hi All

Looking at some older build sites I notice ride height bars in use. My question being are these still used today by builders as I am guessing not possible to do initial set up without, or can this initial allignment simply be done when the Intrax are fitted?

You really need the bars fitted in order to hold the wheels at the correct ride height (rather than full droop as you would with the shocks fitted) to get the body alignment correct

I figured that could be an issue. I have the factory doing the body fit, so guess they have a way around the droop problem, my thoughts were getting the initial set up as good as I can before the body fit etc

So do you recommend getting all the suspension and braking components fitted prior to body fit?

My plan was to fit the body and then install the suspension/braking components so they wouldn't get in the way.

For customers abroad the factory pre-fit on the bare chassis.

Not mine, I'm doing it myself. I'll consider doing it with the bars on front and back, not unless I'm told by others to do otherwise...

My plan is to get full rolling chassis before the body goes on which follows the factory suggested build order. I am not sure it matters greatly which way round but the side pods and cockpit come off again any way.

That's the way it should be.

Hi folks,

Could i add my insight?

The factory bars didn't work for me: reason difference of length 8mm front left VS right and 12mm rear Left VS right.

Too much for as i built my car with a 1/20mm gauge in my hand...

So i replace the steel bars by 4 ali plate 6mm thick at the right dimensions.

(NO WAY: you can not adjust the body without these parts. Chassis on the trolley these bars make the wheel where they should be when the car will be on the road.)

Kinfd regards

J
