I've bought an ultima sport, it's just not arrived yet. One thing I noticed was the pins holding both body clips were really fiddly and sticky. I reckon I might just as well buy some new ones, but who makes them / what are they called ? The look like long pins with balls that recess in the end and they go in the sides of the body panels.

cheers

They are known as pip pins. All sizes are avaliable from places like www.demon-tweeks.co.uk

I also use one to hold down rear canopy. They are VERY strong and easy to use.

They are fiddly.. I got caught out initally too.

There is a knack to use... hold the knurled external top of the pin with one hand and push the hoop into the pin recess with the other - this should release the balls at the tip and enable very easy extration. A very small amount of oil can be applied to the mechanism if necessary to lube.

....thats the recess/mortice that holds & connects the hoop to the pin, not the hole the pin fits into to hold the panel on!
