Tinted Side Screens?

Has anyone actually tinted the side screens?

If you have, what did you do about the helicopter vents?

I'm currently thinking about this but really don't want to use the spray on stuff.

I don't think that the spray tint would work very well on polycarbonate - it usually ends up very patchy. Tinting film is also a non starter due to the compound curves of the window.
The only real way is to get the windows moulded in a smoke tinted polycarbonate, but even then it can go a bit patchy because the material is stretched and squeezed during the moulding process.

As for tinting the helicopter vents....

p.s. How about just wearing sunglasses?

I made a couple of inquiries about having window tinting film applied to the side windows, one said “Probably mate, I will get my guy to have a look but you are talking about £160+”. A second company clearly stated that it would be a waste of time and money as the film does not adhere well to polycarbonate, it will eventually lift away etc (in a couple of months). Searching the internet suggested the same thing so I ended up with sunglasses and just a tee-shirt to keep me cool.

Make that a long sleeved shirt to stop your arm burning to a frazz.

I would suggest checking with an eyeglass place (one that makes them). Most of the glasses that are made now (in the US at least) are a form of polycarbonate and to tint them they dip the lens in a dye solution. This would not leave any "spots" in the tint.
