Is it possible to remove the standard factory seats without unbolting the runners - do the seats slide off the runners in some way? The bolts securing my runners seem to have allen key heads & are well rusted & don't want to budge.

Thanks.

Sorry but the runners need to come out too.

Not much help to you but, I welded captive nuts to the runners and fitted stainless steel allen dome head bolts from under the car.

A little copper slip on the treads and they are easy to remove.

You butcher, WD40 & a bit of heat, then if that fails out comes Gerty the grinder!

I was actually thinking an angle grinder with 2mm slitting disc to cut a slot in the screw head.
A large straight blade screwdriver bit in a socket may well shift them. Also the head from the grinder will help release the screws.
