Crate Dimension Question

Does anyone know how big the crate is?

I will have to look for exact dimensions, but yes, I do have them.

Mine was in two crates actually. The 1st was roughly 13.5 feel long, 6.5 feet wide (which precludes using most towed trainlers!) and 5 feet high. The other crate was about 5 feet cubed.

Hi Allen,

That is exactly what I was thinking about. As the crate will be transported about 200 miles from the port (of San Francisco), I will build an elevated support that will raise the crate just over the wheel wells of the flatbed trailer.

Been thinking about one of those nifty car carriers with sleeping quarters. But, too much $$$ right now. I just informed the factory that I am placing my order for a GTR!!!!!!!!

Yes, building a platform OVER the fender wells will be necessary for sure...

The other challenge is LOADING it. The crate can only be lifted from the side... and it is very awkward and heavy. If the trailer design precludes it from being loaded from the side, it will need to be pulled or winched onto the trailer...

Looking at the pictures on the build CD the case has what look like 4x2 timbers running across so there should be plenty of room for the forks when loading from the side.
