Hi all
I have just bought an Ultima built by MJP racing who seem to no longer exist.
I am in the process of trying to reach Mr. MJP and I think I have sent him a letter if the address was valid.
I has had an interim owner who has had it garaged for 3 years so it needs a bit of recommissioning and TLC but it looks to be a really nice car.
I am trying to find things like 10 point wheel nut removers, paint codes and settings etc, but if the car is known by any of you could you please tell me anything about it it would be appreciated.
So far there is no paperwork bar a V5 and an MOT failure sheet, no build details or history, my search continues..

Regardless, I thought I would just touch base here and say hello.

Cheers

Ed

ps here it is in its pre garaged state:

Looks a nice car, but looks can be deceiving.

Lots of non standard electrics inside. Not a bad thing but you will be on your own sorting any issue (may know someone who could help if you need it).

It looks slightly familiar but not sure where from.

Welcome to the club. If you have questions then there is a lot of experience on this forum.

I emailed Mark the first owner /builder a few times during his build and I know this car was off piste but he spent a fortune building it. Loads of history from him and this car on the forums, he sold early after finishing the build from memory.

Cheers,
I have searched under his name back a few years but little bar turbo charging has come up. It is not turbo charged!
Will try again in morning.
Fingers crossed he will get back to me.

Ed

Could anyone give me Marks e-mail?
As I said I have sent him a letter but I have no idea if the address is correct.

I looked at this car before buying mine.
Kyle Rushall built it but there were way too many "personalised" aspects to the car eg his initials moulded into the dash etc. and IIRC 20 inch alloys that were shod with low profile tyres.
I think this was the car Top gear used on their "top Gear Live show" it was wrapped in Monster Drink colours.

It looks great in the videos. These are fundamentally simple cars that are easy to work on, so if the engine and gearbox are sound then I doubt there's much you can't sort, including the electrics.

If I recall correctly, there are a number of posts on this very forum by the previous owner of the car - it may just require a bit of searching.

Given your forum name I think you were clearly meant for an Ultima - enjoy the car!

was it modified by Kyle or built by him as new.
i think Mark kept changing things and it has about 3-4 different dashs at some stage

Built by Kyle as I understood it at the time, but the dash was all owner fitted, the reason for so many dashboard configurations I believe was it failed the IVA test on more than one occasion.

Thanks all, I have managed to get in touch with Mark and am currently sorting a few issues out but the good news is the chassis engine and box all seem really good.
