Alternative mirrors on a GTR

Subject may have been done before but something recent would be good.

So, we have a customer who does not like the GTR mirrors and would prefer something like the CanAm mirrors.

So before we go down that route I thought I would ask if anyone has another solution. What we are looking for is a mirror which already has electric drive as converting a non electric may be possible it would most likely not be viable as for most builders it is just time playing in the workshop but I have to charge those hours.

Any ideas?

I've seen a couple Ultimas eschew the stock mirrors in favor of these center-mount style mirrors on each fender. It's more of a race setup but I think they would give a better view of the blind spots. I plan on using a set of these for my build.

Not possible here in the UK though as the mirrors must be adjustable from the driving position.

Some time back there was a thread with a host of photos of different options, which is where I got the idea of using late model RX7 mirrors. I'm buggered if I can find anything through the search engine now though, so although this is likely paramount to sacrilege on the Ultima forum you'll have to settle for an SLC with them on (not mine).

Been quite a while since I posted.
Contact Todd Hallenbeck at [e-mail] He just made me a set for my Ultima GTR. Made in carbon fibre 175 mm adjustable stalks. 1/3 of the cost Ultimasports were asking and that cost includes import taxes. Worth a view of his website
