fuel tank connections

Hi,
Each of the fuel tanks in my sport have 3 hose bosses. The forward boss (low down) is blanked off with an aeroquip dead-end. The lower of the aft pair of bosses is connected direct to the fuel pump for that side, then into a T and up to the carb. The higher boss is connected straight across to the other tank's high boss.
These are about 1/2 way up the tank, so does this mean that one tank can siphon fuel from the other ? And whether a pump is on or not ?
Also do Facet pumps have a one-way valve ?

That all sounds correct. You should have a one-way valve between tank and pump. Allowing fuel too the pump but not too the tank. The balance pipe is there in case the valve fails and fuel is pumped to the carb and to the other tank!
