insurance, annual mileage

I have just renewed my cover, I was limited to 3000 miles last year. This time I had a quotation for 3000 and 5000 miles and there is about a 12% difference. The best thing is that I can insure for 3000 and then pay that difference when I am about to go over. As you are finding the downside is you are paying a chunk again for the additional mileage close to the next renewal (who ever said insurance was fair!). £120 seems a bit steep, mine works out at about £80, are you paying even more than me!?!

Another way of putting it is that you have been offered 66% increase in cover for £120.
And they have additional admin cost as well (Ok, not much but when I add an additional temporary driver my company always charges an admin amount)
Not good value though unless you do the extra 2000 before renewal. So there is an excuse to use it more!

It's running really well!
Fuel consumption is much better too. Definately a bonus.
