Haven't been able to find the required sizes for a GTR in the USA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to www.tirerack.com, select year of manufacture 1996, vehicle Ferrari, then select F50 from the drop down box. The tyres for the Ultima are the Goodyear GS Fiorano (specially made for Ferrari). So on the next page select Goodyear, then search. Or click the link below. Note that the factory price list incorrectly list the front size as 235/35 18, they are actually 245/35.

Cool. I can handle wider tires in the front. The Goodyears are due in.....next spring!!! I'll take the Pirellis please.

Thanks very much for the information.

The P Zero's were also had a bit of a lead time for the rears....fronts were in stock. I think I waited about 4 weeks. I paid $1180 plus shipping of around $30. Good Luck.

Ultima used to use a slightly narrower front P Zero. 235/35.

I have had both the Goodyear 245/40 and the older P Zero 235/35. Whilst the Goodyears offered better grip they do have the downside that at full lock the tyre rubs on the headlamp cover. I know of a can-am driver that also has this problem. The factory may have fixed this issue now.
