Headlight Covers, Side Windows Like This?
Discussion
If so, can you tell me what you have done to install this way? Is there a custom backing plate to accept the threads? How thick is the lense? No worries about cracking with countersinking? Did you use a different seal? Can you post/send pictures?
Can the side windows be fit this way as well?
Thanks,

· The build manual tells how this is done on both windows and headlight covers.
· No backing just bolts and nuts. The manual says button head.
· The lens and windows are about 1/8”.
· Very high risk of cracking.
· I believe you would use a closed cell sticky back foam for the seal.

How hard is it to remove/replace the poly, if glued?

I was looking around our local Halfords yesterday and amongst the bike accessories spotted sets of screen mounting screws. These are for attaching a bike screen onto the fairing, a very similar application.
Basically this was a set of anodised (various colours available) button head screws with little rubber bungs with a threaded metal insert such that when you tighten the screw in the insert it squeezes the bung out and makes it a tight fit in the hole in the GRP.
