Bonnet fit

Please Help!! having just fitted the factory grills to the bonnet and re-fitted to the car we have found that the centre grill above the radiator is hitting the fans, thus stoping the bonnet from closing. The bonnet was fitted by Ulitma and we have not adjusted. Has anyone had a similar problem if so how did you overcome this?

If I recall I modified the way the grill fitted and also cut back the fibreglass a little. You just need to play with it until you find a nice fit. I've seen more than one without the grill fitted.

I had the exact same problem with both the problems Steve mentioned.

You can trim the side flaps that sit on the rad slightly or try and adjust the front rose joints up a tad.

As for the grill touching the rad, I just had bend mine slightly to avoid this (is wasn't worth trimming any further).

Thank's guys, think we have cracked it now, oh that is apart from needing another grill, just cut to much of!!!
