Hi all,
Strange post this hope u bear with me..
I am 75% convinced to built a GTR here in Greece myself.
I know I should have 10^6 questions but as a complete ignorant on kit building i simply dont know where to start.
Any comments advice on where/how to start will assist me no end.

Go to the top of this page and find the 'forum' button. Click FAQ then follow the link for Ultima build sites.
In particular find stigs GTR site and his new CanAm site.
These sites will show you how the car is built but you will have to research what regulations you will have to comply with in Greece.

Welcome to the world of kit cars! Yes, I can say that now (since I have recently ordered a GTR as my first kit). However, and just for the record, if you talk to the Ultima factory, they will take exception to the "kit" category. Ultima cars are considered "component (race) cars" because there is really no "doner" vehicle to start with; i.e. a chassis and suspension from a mass-produced vehicle.
If you ask me, the GTR is THE BEST "kit" you can build. Why? If fits my goals:
1) Extreme performance
2) Street legal
3) Beautiful when complete
4) No welding
5) Reasonably quick to complete (depending on finish)
When I started looking at the Ultima, my first contact was with the factory (Ted). He answered all of my newbie Qs via email with pleasure. He then made a trip to the USA to do a show (in April '04), which I attended. I spent six hours going over every inch of the demo unit and asking Ted more dumb questions...also listening to the dumb questions of the other show attendees. I took about 55 pictures of every bolt. I was sold on the spot. At the end of the day, I told Ted the only question left was how many and what color! In November of last year, I had the pleasure of riding in Jeff Schwartz's yellow GTR. I was totally hooked and ordered my GTR on 1 March.
In the interim, I found PistonHeads and probably 98 percent of the builders' sites. I started to research all of the options and specificatons for engines and transaxles. The result is a library of Web bookmarks which I have posted. You can import these into your bookmark file, or just refer to it on line, if you find it useful.
If you choose the GTR, you have the opportunity to build the car to your personal specifications...luxurious, or pure race. I am aiming more for the race car, as I want to modestly blow the doors off some of the extremely expensive "super cars" on track-day evenets with something built in my back yard shop.
