Clive

It is a "for charity" based track day with, it is claimed by the organiser, some celebs attending and driving.

I have a slot for one of the mere mortal participating cars and would be keen to take a peep at your Ultima if you get to go.

The forecast is sunny too!

Both Ultimapaul and myself were going but the noise restrictions ended that. I cancelled about a month ago but no money back on deposit. Looking at some of the cars I am not surprised if all the cars advertised don't make it. Shame but looks like it could cost a bit for some like me-- never again

My TVR Cerbera is too noisy in standard form but the addition of a pair of Supertrapps silencers enables it to pass their noise test.

Such a lovely flowing circuit it is worth the loss of soundtrack.

I'm going though just to look around as I'm too loud for the track

Why are there no factory 98db silencers?

I will be there in my spyder - I have one-off exhausts which let me swap from LOUD to SOFT in 10 mins! Stupid that on the road I can be a loud as I want, but on a RACEtrack it needs to sound poofy like a TVR.....

See you there?

When I had my GT40, I went to the GTD Owners club track day at Goodward. It was on a thursday because on week days the noise limit is higher than at the weekend. I Think this is still true, but don't know the difference. But the GT40's that where going round where loader than my GTR is Know. !! How much was it, and Bluesatin do you still have the use of that Ticket?

I'll be there, although my 968CS might stuggle to keep up with your Ultima - I expect I'll be the one of the slowest cars there. But, no problem with noise though!

Looks like there's going to be some awesome kit there - definitely worth taking the day off for.

Agree with the sentiment about noise, especially in a circuit surrounding a noisy operational airfield. However shame that the "poofy" sounding green TVR Chimeara kept catching you up and I believe passed you.

Didn't have slicks on and overtake down the inside while they were being held up by dodgy driven 50's syle cars?

Thats right, I do remember A tvr going past - I think I was on the phone and eating a bag of crisps at the time, but do recall going past a TVR a few moments later... never saw it again!

The green one in question wasn't on slicks, just on road tyres. It was my blue one that had slicks.

Doesn't memory play tricks
