Is this a G50 serial number or...

Hi all,

I'm looking at what I think is a G50, (it's in NZ & I'm in the UK), but the only number the guy could give me off the box is "0640-3M-0003432".

Is this a proper serial number for a G50 or is it from another box ???

Where does the number starting with G50/XXX hide???

Hello,
The correct gearbox no. should read like this:

6400-3M-03432 or 6401-3M-03432

It means this would be a G64 gearbox (better that G50)from a 964 Carrera 4 built in '91, but it is not clear from the number the supplied, if it's G64.00 or G64.01.
00 would be standard, 01 was only supplied to Switzerland (different gearsetting).

The Carrera 4 box would only be interesting if you are planning to build a 4-wheel drive!

Try to find a Carrera 2 gearbox!
