I know it's on the wrong 'Ultima' thread but STIG - I know you would be interested to know that 'Top Gear'
has a new Racing driver named 'The Stig' to track test cars against the clock.

Is it you or Stig Blomquest....

How's the Ultima build going ?

Anyway, it's not me - more's the pity. I thought someone had finally noticed my driving prowess

Car is going great guns. Body is on, LOADS to do at the weekend but it's progressing well.

You can follow the progress at www.ultima-gtr.info with all the latest news/pics etc.

Stig,

Although I'm a new member, I've been following this forum and your site for the last 6 months and I have to say "YOUR SITE IS FANTASTIC!!!" You obviously put an enormous amount of effort into creating the content and maintaining the site, although I got a bit worried you were slacking for the last two weeks (hope you had a good time in Uncle Sam).

I got interested in Ultima cars when I went to visit the factory back in '95. Ted took me for a ride in a Spyder and that was it ... I was hooked. Ever since, whenever I'm in Hinkley (I have relatives there), I stop by the unit and catch up on the latest. And it finally looks like I might get round to taking the plunge and buy a Can-Am! I can't wait ... just the "financial director" to get by now

Stig, could you email me a copy of your Excel sheet for the build cost (including tools if possible) ... if it's not TOO confidential

P.S. Are you the original "Stig of the dump"?

How Stig got his name is a very long, and extremely smelly, story.

In fact, people still remark on the smell all these years later. I was there at the time, and I can tell you that he smells like a rose in comparison to how he did then

Petrol Ted picked up a few apt monikers that trip too

Stig - sounds like your's will be finished well before Barters.

You certainly had some driving prowess when you took me out for a quick blat in your 400se. Glad I renewed my life insurance. It's not often that a TVR runs out of opposite lock going thru corners !

Thanks all for your kind words - glad you like the site, it makes spending hours updating it worthwhile (note part of the build time I hasten to add .

James - you're a fine one to talk about having all the hard work done - you bought a complete car!

It's my new website. www.fish-racing.cod

It has nothing to do with any misplaced belief in a mythical being invented to explain to thick peasants why they should do what they're told, and stop complaining about how unfair life is.
