I thought you ultima guys would like to check out a friend of a friends project ultima at www.spectrum5.com . It has to be the fastest ultimas I've heard of......

I've seen that site before. I'm looking forward to seeing the results. The factory did quite a bit of wind tunnel testing to make sure that the car would be able to handle the sorts of speeds he's taking about, so that it didn't (as Ted put it) "do a Mercedes".

There is a forum like this one on Silver State classic web sight, I asked how Kurt got on and he had some trouble aparently. Tryed to Email him on his sight but he did not replie ?

Strange. Kurt came down to look at my Ultima before purchasing his. I know him fairly well. I haven't spoken to him in a while but I'll email him. Last I heard he was stripping down the car to freshen everything for Silver State. I noticed there was only one competitor in the unlimited class this year which is also strange.
When running, he has the fastest Ultima, hands down. He once told me he thought he could make 1500hp at full boost with his engine. He's limited it to 1000hp, due to the chassis, with very little boost. The car's capable of 245-250mph...easily. Hell, its setup to run at 230mph for the entire race if needed. He does consulting work for several Nascar teams, and I'd heard he was even talking to a few F1 teams. If he's had a problem, chances are that it was because he was waiting for a part or component to arrive. This can sometimes throw a spanner into the works. I'll see if I can talk to him. I've got his phone number somewhere around here.

Back in july I remember seeing some news on his car on one on the american supraforums. Here's the quote:

"Bad a$$ car at the track last night
had a 350 that was destroked with twin t4s. Ran a 10.xx spinning half way down the track. Anyone have any links to websites where I can look at kit cars like this?"
