Cold Air Intake

Nosing round AlanNs website I noticed he had a v.groovy carbon/fibre cold air intake on his CanAM. Anyone know where it came from? - I'm assuming its not standard equipment.

Would like to obtain a similar one for my Spyder.

If we have seen the same pictures, the intake box is most likely a Reverie Ltd product. Although I can not see it on there product offering on the web site currently. I know it was there earlier in the year and I talked to them about it and the sidepod scoops at the Autosport show in January.

I made this one for my car





Never got around to making a mold or fabricating the other side. If someone has the desire or skill to finish the job I'll be more than happy to supply them with the one I already made.

These scoops are great.

I originally approached reverie and had these designed for my car (they then put them into production) thus I would think they are great.
However they weighed about the same as the side grills and also had ducts inside to take the air to air filter etc....
Made a huge difference to the air temp feeding my carb on my canam.

the down side is they are very expensive.

Nice parts but expensive.
I suggested an alternate idea that's cheaper, using a "Carb Hat" thats used on forced induction setups.

Yep, mine's the Reverie stuff.

Yep, it's expensive , but IMHO you get what you pay for.

The inside of the Reverie side scoops (both of them) for example, are moulded into two ducted inlets so you can feed one to the airbox and one to an oilcooler, or whatever, for example.

This looks like just the ticket and at great price.

Need to check the exact measurements as there is *no* spare height under the Spyders rear clip - even the 1/4 inch high retaing nut on top of the filter cover contacts with the top when closed!
