Battery - Where can I get one?

Where can I get one over the counter?

Reason being, I connected my battery up tonight after charging over night only to find that it is as dead as a Dodo.

Wouldn't be so bad but the alarm guy fitted most of the alarm only to find out we couldn't test it :(

It should be pretty resilient to deep discharge (I take it has been left for quite a while uncharged). It might just take quite a bit longer to come up.

The battery is a common one on bikes, Harleys fit them as original equipment I think. Try a local bike shop. A quick google for Odyssey PC625 should yield places on the web that will sell it for about the same as the factory.

You can get info on the care and feeding of the battery here: www.odysseyfactory.com/support.htm . I'd also recommend getting a top up charger to keep the battery in good shape when you're not using the car. I have one which plugs into the cigarette lighter socket just inside my passenger door. Just remember to disconnect it when you want to drive off...

I'll check out a few bike places today.

I do have a trickle charger for bikes/cars that I can permanently wire onto the batter, so I'll set that up today.

morning michael, jet skis also use this battery, so there is that option as well if you have a shop nearby. i got mine from a place called Knight Batteries. www.knightbatteries.com

Just typed a nice long reply but it disapeared somewhere.
Still here goes again.
Knight batteries. £90 delivered. PC680 (more powerfull but cheaper cos it fits a larger range of bikes).

Optimate 3 charger has auto sequence to recover deep discharge and sulphation. Could be a good investment.
