HP per Ton (Tonne?)

I see hp/ton ratios. Is a ton 2000lbs in this instance or some other weight?

No - in this instance the "Ton" is a measure of currency. Like - "I spent a ton of money on that and I only have 500hp". That would make it 500hp/ton.

Thanks GTRCLive. That is what I thought but I just wanted to confirm. I got to ride in a car with 600hp/ton last week and I was pretty impressed. I can only imagine what a 640hp GTR would be like...
