After long and hard consideration, heart tearing, sole searching thinking. (Well a blast out in it this morning) I have made the decision to keep my GTR.

Good choice? Bad choice? The £55k would have come in useful but WTF you only live once.

Paul

Must be the fourth best decision of your life. Getting maried, children, building an Ultima and then keeping it. The factory are looking into a possible trackday seat that may help with headroom.

See ya at VW

I am delighted you're going to keep your fabulous red beast, Paul. So....are you up for bringing it to the Isle Of Man...if we can get the idea of the ground?

Pleased to hear it although l understood that you were staying with Ultima anyway, just building a Can Am. Better start saving mate, just like wot l am. That way we can both have a summer car and a er summer car.

Don - Already showed an interest in the main thread mate.
Ultiman - I wish, the build cost of a Can-am at about ooooooh £50-60k. PLUS the £300,000 the divorce would set me back. Maybe in a hundred years time!

At the open day back in April my better half actually suggested getting a CanAm as she was quite taken with it. The fact that l cannot afford it and cannot justify it either was irrelevant at the time. Even if l could afford it l would probably buy something more practical like a porker. Saying that l will probably be excomunicated from the Ultima club! l am expecting to win the lottery tonight (£15m) so thursday l will place my order for a porker AND a CanAm. After all, l will have to have something to fill my work free days...

Bravo! There are some cars which are just SO incredible that parting must be virtually impossible.

Your monster has to be such a thing.

Btw, any chance of some more piccies?

You boys better look at the dates of this Thread and then look at my last comment. All will then become clear...

Having posted on this thread 1st time round l was aware as Clive was. l thought when l looked at the date l thought ahha, he has decided to keep it after all, having told us all it was for sale again at Virginia Water. Oh dear Paul, isn't indecision a terrible thing? or is it?
Another trip to Le Mans will help to cure you for a while anyway.

So you think this is indecisive? You should hear some of the plans I've had to replace it! Sublime, ridiculus (sp?) I had 'em all.

(Now where was I ..... oh yea, that Cerbera, no, the Esprit, na, how about a Porsche ...... hhmmmm! I know, build a track day car. But what about weekends? Well £15k on a track car and say £15k on a Griff ... sounds good ..... nope, sounds stooooopid! I know ....... )

Edited to add ...... No, the C5 idea is totaly unrelated before Bluesatin quips in with a comment! (Mind you ..... would a Chevy V8 work with FWD?)
