A true CAN-AM?

I was wondering if anyone has seen on the net or in person, someone who has built an Ultima Can-am and actually has old style intake trumpets coming out the engine bay? Anyone fluent in P-shop??

Even so,Im not sure I could bring myself to build one instead of a GTR....

Always fancied a set of stacks but for the road, there is always the persisent filter issue - putting a filter ontop the stacks ruins the looks.

As far as I'm aware, no one does filters that sit inside the stack tubes. Best I could find was this garletts 'faker' set up - cosmetially looks similar to a stack setup but hides your carb and a filter inside the unit.

that didn't work either. I think it must be the way it is hosted. The link must take you direct to the photo not a home page.

Those are pretty cool and just what I was thinking, but they wouldn't work on a Fuel injected engine would they, or if you used a similar manifold, it would work wouldn't it? I'm not very good, when it comes to big american V8's, I just know that a crate 350 using EFI or carb setup looks the same visually...

i think someone posted a while ago about puting a supercharger in the back of a canam - with hilborne manifold siting up out the back.

Thats nice, but a see through bonnet is in order..
