dampers - Intrax vs others.

I have the Ultima Intrax dampers which are 5 years old now and just starting to weap slightly at the top seal. Trouble is the only way to get them "fixed" seems to be via ultima to Intrax in Holland. no one in the UK can fix them (unless anyone knows??) Saw some altenatives from such places as www.dampertech.co.uk/ who will provide a similar product for around £125 an item, which is less than the cost of the intrax "refurb"! any thoughts? Are the intax that good compared to dampertech etc?

ultima supplied me with some protec shocks ,protec have given me great service including re-valve and new bigger shock shafts as well ,they have some new shocks that look the muts nuts am just about to send front ones for re-valve new oil and bigger shock shafts have quoted me less than 100 pounds will do what ever you ask . simon

I have Protec fitted to my trackday car (Tiger R6, not an Ultima) They seem to work very well and of good quality. Only had the car on track for this summer so I can't comment on longevity/servicing. Good luck.

I'm currently using AVO's on the front of mine, because i wanted assembled units with different spring rates, and i've found them very good, and good value for money!

I deal with Protech .. they're fabulous for the money ..
I've used the Gaz dampers that are sold by people such as dampertech .. but i choose to sell Protech

I have been nothing but impressed with the Nitron shocks. After trying others I wouldn't use anything else on a road/track car. The only way to fly.

Think the main man from protec is Ron Avon..... so no prizes for guessing were his roots lie.

My little indy has Protec's fitted and I'm gona use them on my GTT as they seem so high quality for the money.
