Heads Up!

Here is a photo of the one the new heads being fitted as part of the ProCharger project. It is a 23° Pro Aluminium Lightning made by Pro Topline. It has 228cc inlet runners and 64cc chambers. Valves are 2.08" inlet and 1.6" exhaust. It's one of the best flowing heads you can get. The old Edelbrock RPM heads could not give me enough flow for me to get over 600HP.

V.nice indded... but is there a reason why you did not go for 18 degree heads and say 0.5-0.6 lift cams? Flow may be better still?

probably because you would need custome (or more exspencive) intake manifold and the stock exhasut would not fit! also the 23 degree units can flow pretty well. i have read a bout a 1400bhp single turbo engine running 23 degree heads!

and reason you didn't go for World heads? i have heard some every good things about them!

Yes that's why I went for the 23 degree and not the 18. Thanks for answering Chris.To change all my plans to get a fraction more flow would be too costly. I got these heads at a great price and I know that will work well with my application.

yeah, you see its always easy to forget about cost when your not spenging your owne money!!

looking at them tho thoes heads should flow just fine! you having any work done on them??

I will keep the site updated as and when things happen. The engine is coming out next week and I will strip it down over the Christmas hols.
As for the heads Chris, apart from port matching and a little smoothing work inside the runners they will go in pretty much as they are.

I intend doing some video work with the car which I will post on Pistonheads.
