Ultima has a boxed up Yellow GTR ready for immediate shipment. I had to cancel my GTR project because Canadian customs wouldn't let the car in the country. They sent the car back to the UK where it has stood in a warehouse since April. Ultima needs to sell this before I can get my money back.

If anyone is interested I can give you a full list of contents. I am sure Ultima may swap/remove a few of the upgrades if required.

email me at stockley0883@rogers.com if you are interested.

I also have a set of front 235/35ZR18 Pirelli P-Zero Giallo tires I need to sell.

Thats terrible news Phill. I had a similar incident with customs whilst trying to import a brand new unregistered Lambo Countach Anniverary from OZ. The deal was cancelled and it makes you feel so bad. I hope you manage to re-start the Ultima project again.

Why wouldn't they let it into the country? Surely it couldn't breach any of your car regulations, as it isn't a car yet.

I don't know if this is of any help, but there is a guy in Ontario that imports and builds Factory Five Racing kits. He seems to have expertise in dealing with Canadian customs. He may be able to help you with your Ultima issue, unless it is UK specific. As a fellow Ontarion, I hope you can get something worked out, as I'd love to see one of these cars stalking the roads of Ontario. You can get the individuals contact info at cobramotorsports.ca.

Unfortunatley the Ultima project is totally dead. I have already moved onto a self design and build project.

There is no legal way that I know of to get a kit car into Canada from Europe or the US. I think the cobra guys use some form of vintage car clause to get them in the country. This may work from the US but definately not from Europe.
