Trickle Chargers

I have an old trickle charger at home that I used to use with my bike. I wanted to put the Canam on charge over the next few months as I won't be using it, the charger is made by Oxford,it is of thr type that is supposed to condition the battery, the instructions seem to confirm it is suitable to use with my battery, anybody got advice to the contrary?

What type of batt?
The Odyssy gel type need a particular charger I'm told.

I use an Optimate which is essentially the same. Works a treat and no problems.

It's the original red top battery, I went back to the red top on the canam after finding the little oddersy battery wasn't quite man enough for my car probably due to the alarm and stereo etc.

I don't know much about battery conditioners, but as long as its 12v and is OK for use with sealed batteries it should be OK.

I was thinking about getting a gel batt.
I thinking if I fit the smaller type AP master cylinders if there is going to be enough room for the batt to go in between the rack and the master cylinders?
That will leave me a lot of space on the other size for stuff.
