I have one of these engines sitting in my workshop. It was bought to go into my GTR but the factory said they didnt think it could be done so in the workshop it will stay. You can get them real cheap and they are a gtreat engine. Shame

The factory told me the same when I built my Ultima as I wanted a BMW V8 in mine.... what they mean is they won't support you fitting one as they fit SBC's and have no experience of the BMW.

I recon the electronics will be the biggest challenge, I've by-past using any of the BMW stuff on my V12 by deciciding to use a Motec ECU to run the lot.

I took was I was told as gospel and gave the idea away. There is somebody with a M62 powered Ultima and the install looks great.
The Motec would make a perfect setup. I have now bought an LS2 crate motor for my install but still think the BMW option would
have been a more suitable option in terms of refinement and technological appeal
