Autosport show - any good?

So what was you opinion of this years show?

For me, I was not impressed, as it seemed notably worse than last years. For one a number of companies that I would like to have seen (as listed on the website) appear to have only been present on the trade only days. Also after having seen last years live show at the time I thought I would give it a miss next year, only to find that this year you had to in effect pay for it anyway.

I went on a trade day, the only thing I wanted to see left on Friday PM.
I would not go on the weekend, a waste of time, the show was smaller in terms of technology, I would say it is changing from a Motorsports trade show to a show for the Chavs

This was my first time attending the Autosport show and i came away feeling a little under impressed. I went, specifically, to see 3 or 4 exhibitors but thought i would enjoy the whole show. i was impressed by some exhibitors' complete lack of interest in their potential customers, a feat that must take years of training if you consider their skill at it (aim & sabelt you were the most skillful). the live show was interesting without being too exciting, the exception to this being the Ferrari GT team, awesome cars. I managed to see Johnny Herbert, David Coulthard and Mark Blundell being interviewed, (Johnny Herbert seems to be a great 'ordinary' bloke, very amusing and interesting interview). I dont think i will be attending this show next year, i had a choice of this show or watching the mighty (in a mediocre way) West Ham beat Villa on Saturday, in hindsight i think i may have had more enjoyment if i had given Villa my £32.

The most helpful people were on the Sachs stand, and they were all German!

I really enjoyed the show this year despite going on the weekend. Had a good chat with Kevin Leaper from Practical Performance Car mag. The AIM agent was a nice bloke. Live action was OK. But best of all was getting free tickets to Santa Pod main event in May. That's £70 saved as I was going anyway.
